Welcome to DOLcat.

DOLcat is the library catalog of books and other materials housed in the libraries operated by the Vermont Department of Libraries.  Items may be requested from these two library locations: (1) Vermont State Library (Central Collection) in Montpelier (open to the public) and (2) Midstate Regional Library in Berlin (materials available by request only).

To request library materials or check account information, libraries must enter their Card / PIN numbers.
If you don’t know your card number or PIN contact: 802-828-3261.

FOR VERMONT STATE EMPLOYEES / STATE GOVERNMENT / MEMBERS OF THE VERMONT BAR ASSOCIATION:
To request library materials located in DOLcat, please call the Vermont State Library reference desk at 802-828-3268 or send an email to: lib.rls@state.vt.us  You will need a current Department of Libraries library card to borrow materials. To get your free card, call 802-828-3268 or send an email to: lib.rls@state.vt.us  The Department of Libraries asks that you request only those materials that you will use in connection with your work. To borrow DOLcat materials for personal use, please contact your local public library’s interlibrary loan department.

FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC:

We invite you to use the Vermont State Library (Central Collection) at 109 State Street in Montpelier. Hours of operation are: M-F, 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

Though citizens cannot borrow directly from the Department of Libraries collections, you may request and borrow materials from DOLcat via interlibrary loan service at your public library. For more information, contact your local public library.
